Reworked Task Editor

We’re currently working on polishing the task editor on iOS, providing a smoother and more straight-forward user experience. The new task editor will probably be released right after the iOS 26 release in September.

    Hi Linnea / Leo,

I’ve been a log time user of Structured since it came it — very unique and intuitive design for the timeline view.

However, with the latest change of making the tasks immediately enter into Edit mode, I find this has taken a step backwards in usability.

    • Previously, when you click a task, it let you check off your sub tasks and see the full subtask text (wrapped around if it ran long) without any risk of modifying that task or subtask for future days

    • Now it goes directly into "Edit Mode" and if you for example delete a subtask or modify anything and click the Check Box it modifies it for all future tasks.

    • I believe most users will want to view and check off subtasks more often than actually “change” the task itself (e.g. delete task or modify subtasks) and mashing the 2 together makes usage worse

Is there a possibility to allow users to revert to the old method of using tasks / subtasks with a toggle? Or at the very least make the latest change usable by wrapping the subtask items so they’re visible and don’t just scroll off the screen.

I understand the need to try new things but it should be balanced against usability and a with a perspective of how end users are currently doing things.

It’s great you have this “featurebase” to track changes and gather input. I’ll explore the site but I’m curious, is this change something a lot of users have asked for? I also acknowledge that I may be a minority in the way I use things but I have a feeling I’m not 😊.

    Thank you,

    Lawrence

    Add subtasks in detail view

I like the app!! But Adding sub task is so uncomfortable I need to click- schedule- edit task - and scroll all the way to bottom (this cause mistakes of changing task time)- add subtask - input the subtask Also hard to set times of task detaily 27minutes like that On mac app also. Just could you please make button which is more accessible For ex like this ..

Increase size and width of scroll wheel time selector

As you can see in the time selector (8:00am➡️8:01am), it’s really quite difficult to use. If you don’t scroll in the exact spot of each hour or minute dial, it either flicks the wrong time dial or it will close out of the time selector all together reverting back to the edit task page. It had me getting quite frustrated last night when trying to schedule my workday for today. My suggestion is would it be possible to make the entire time selector bigger, wider and not as “cramped?”. Perhaps spread the hour and minute scroll wheel out a little wider so that it’s easier to individually select each hour or minute scroller without scrolling the opposite one by accident. It would be super appreciated if this could be changed. For the record, I don’t have large hands so someone with larger hands may struggle more than myself. This would also be a great way to accomodate those with accessibility needs. 😊

This control certainly needs to be improved. Thanks for the request.

Does this include the time input feature? I am thinking of trying a different because setting a time for tasks is too difficult.
