Yearly Reminder - Bdays, Holidays, Yearly Appt etc.

Could you add a yearly reminder feature? I want to transition completely from Google Calendar to Structured but I’m unable to because 1 feature you guys don’t have is the yearly reminder. Other than birthdays, I often have certain events and appointments that that occur yearly i.e. my cat’s yearly booster appointment and I have to rely on Google Calendars to remind me.

    Hi Joy 😊

This feature is already available. Simply select Monthly and adjust the recurrency to Every 12 Months.

Ok before I write this suggestion / the reasoning for it, I just wanna say thank you for telling me this. I really do love and prefer your app over others because of all the cool and resourceful features but I do have some suggestions. Although calendar sync is available, I believe yearly should still be added because of the following: 1) UX: Most apps that serve similar purposes i.e. Google Calendar and iPhone’s version categorize yearly separately so consequently, it affects user behavior / their expectations for what they are used to seeing in the navigation options and how they’re used to incorporating it. Honestly, if you hadn’t mentioned the +12 months workaround I would not have thought to do so just because of what I’m used to as a user of other similar apps. Also, some people may be first-time calendar users trying out new apps or even someone who’s used to hand writing it and now trying agenda apps so calendar sync is not an option for them and the +++++++ process may deter them from usage which I’ll explain in my next reason. Another reason I see need for a “yearly” option is because: when you’re manually adding “yearly” events such as birthdays or other events in mass quantities it can be a hassle to hit +++++++++++ until it gets to 12 and have to repeat the process over and over. The process adds some extra work that Google Calendar and iPhone’s app don’t. I personally don’t mind it only because I’ve been using this app for a few months now and pros > cons but it may be a bit of a strain for people who may be BRAND new users (not subscribed yet, are learning to navigate the app + in the process of importing and converting). In more detail: From their UX POV, it may be worth considering that they are already in the process of getting used to your app and having to import a mass quantity of yearly events in order to convert to your system as their main calendar / agenda system. This process may add an additional strain that may affect their app usage or even revert them to their old apps and calendars that they are already used to. In my personal experience, before I knew about the 12 month thing it was literally the ONLY reason I still had Google Calendar and didn’t just fully convert to Structured. Thanks for the consideration and best of luck to your team, wishing you guys lots of success <3 Also sorry it’s so long I tried to be as helpful as I could be / explain as thoroughly as possible.
