Without analysis, I feel like this app is just for data input, not for meaningful self-reflection! Please add this super-useful feature.

Game-Changing Feature Request: In-Depth Time Analytics for Structured

Would you not want to know how you spend your most valuable resource: Time?

Structured is great for seeing how you use time day to day, BUT: How valuable would it be to see exactly how you spend your weeks, months, year, analytically?

And it would not require using some kind of stopwatch button!

    My concept is simple:

    1. Labels to mark what activities your tasks are

      • This could be "Working out", "At work", "Time with family", "Time with friends", "Transportation/Driving"

      • Labels are created easily with your titles

      • Tasks are marked by the right label

    2. The result:

      • Analytics on how much time you spend working out, how much time you use on transport, etc

      • Suggestion:

        • Weekly averages through: "this month", "march", "YTD", "2022", "2023"

        • Daily averages through: "this month", "march", "YTD", "2022", "2023"

        • Stats on not only hours but also completion/counts: E.g "Average workouts per week 2023: 5 week" - where "Workouts" are a label attached to tasks you set up when you work out

      • Pie chart of how you use your time throughout periods - hours & percentage splits

    3. Examples:

      • "Avg. 50 hours of "At work"/week in 2023"

      • "Avg. 10 hours used on "Transport"/week in March"

      • "Avg. 20 minutes spent "Planning" per day in Week 21"

It is really strange that this is not a thing in any app yet - it would be a game changer!

I urge structured to review this and let us know if this can be developed very SOON!

YES I SECOND THIS. Exactly what you said. I need to be able to reflect and change habits to align to my goals.

I’m thinking of something like YNAB but for time. If we could get categories and then assign tasks into categories, it would help with reports.

I would find this useful to see how long I have spent doing a certain task.

When will we get the possibility to do statistics on our activities?

This would be so helpful. It’s the only feature keeping me away from the subscribe button!

This would be great - I’ve been switching between Structured and Forest to be able to recap how I’ve been allocating time on a weekly / monthly level. Would be nice to get it all in one source of truth 🤞🏼

That’s exactly what I miss, let’s assume you need to spend a specific amount of time on a topic. Like work needs to have 40 hours/weekly. I want to know how many hours I already spend and how much left.

Adding my thoughts to hopefully aid encouragement….

It would be amazing to see a weekly/monthly/quarterly/annual overview of tasks completed and not completed. A lot of mine are about implementing new habits and routines (lots of repeat tasks) for health/self care purposes and it would be good to see - without having to flick through dates/calculate myself - to determine how I am doing in completing these/what I need to do to get on track (this may, for example, indicate some dates are better than others for prioritising myself and can make adjustments to my schedule accordingly). Fingers crossed!
