Tasks dependent on each other
I would love the option to make tasks dependent on each other, so that “task 2” starts when I press completed on “task 1”. I struggle with duration estimation and have to change my schedules all the time. When tasks can be made dependent on other tasks, I think this would be a lot easier! So that would mean connecting tasks to each other and being able to not set a duration.

I saw that another suggestion got merged into this but it‘s not quiet the same but somehow related. In my case, it would be helpful if new tasks would use the end time of the previous item as start time. Somehow, that doesn‘t work. Sometimes, I split tasks into multiple tasks during the day. For example when I have to wait for a reply. Then, it would be amazing, when duplicating a previous instance of the taks that it would use the current time or the end time of the previous task.

I NEED this; my day cannot be scheduled since tasks are ALWAYS varied in duration. I keep trying different things like setting tasks for 1 minute duration throughout the day, but this doesn’t work out well either. I really want to see the current and upcoming task show on the Apple Watch as the current widget does, but cannot get things to work well due to the strict time scheduling requirement now.

Yes! I really want to chain events with a simple drag and drop motion! In my head, the ideal way to see the dependent task would be to drag the task until it “clicks” onto it, and shows a link between the two 🔗

This would be a nice alternative to planning my day. I also struggle with estimating duration.
