Option to disable marking off tasks from widget

The info and content displayed in widgets take up almost all of the real estate of the widget. Right now when i tap on any part of the widget, it registers the tap as me marking off the task within widget view or automatically suggesting to edit it when opening up the app. But all I wanna do is have a widget that displays info at a glance from my home screen while also serving as a way for me to tap into the widget to open up the app to full screen on my mobile phone. Especially when we may have big fingers etc. Perhaps some users like the current functionality but for many of us, we want the option to disable making edits right from widget view itself. The widget is extremely crucial and likely used by majority of users everyday. Can we at least have this option to enable or disable editing from widget view and allow tapping of widget to simply open up the app?

It’s one of the reasons i’m still trying around and unsure whether to plunge into paid plan yet.
