Non-Overlapping Tasks

I have a long multi-hour "Work" task that is a placeholder for when I'll do work during the day. I'd like to be able to set it as "non-overlapping" so that tasks I add within the work timeframe, such as meetings, don't display as overlapping with the overall Work task. This way I can have the Work placeholder, but still have individual tasks scheduled within it.

    FlowSavvy has an overlapping function, wherein the overlapping tasks appear next to each other, rather than on top of each other in a haphazard way as Structured does. Structured does have a better widget, at least.

    the ability to have several tasks at once is an ESSENTIAL feature. i find myself going back and forth between this app and ical due to the fact that i can see the overlap in ical. if structured had this feature, it would be a total game changer. imo this should be a top priority… no question.

    I would also really love to see this feature reconsidered, please. Basically, I’m full-time parenting and also trying tog et things done. So I’d love to be able to have “Baby asleep” as a task-type activity, but be able to put things into that time (clear email or work on upskilling course) without it showing as overlapping

    Please reconsider this feature request. The current design of non-overlapping events and tasks is quite confusing.
