When I'm focusing on a task on my computer (not tablet or phone), all I really want open are my primary applications and a countdown. I think it would be cool if I could resize the focus mode window so its visual gradient could become my main cue for that countdown. This could be a tall or long rectangle with minimal or even no text. Of course I have a workaround which I already use: I cover the focus mode window nearly to its edge and basically get what I'm after. When I use window managers, however -- Amethyst or Magnet, for instance -- this approach is less useful. One further tweak to this idea would be to have a way to superimpose or composite the focus mode gradient onto the menu bar at the top of the screen. Maximizing screen real estate!
