Hey Kat 😊 The predictions made for Cycle Seasons are based on the AppleHealth data. As the feature is quite new, we still declare it an experimental feature. Meaning, for now, Cycle Seasons does not cover cases that might deviate from the mean menstrual cycle yet. However, we are keen to improve the Cycle Seasons and include more use cases to cover as many users as possible.
We appreciate your patience and your support. 😊

LOVE THIS! Thank you!!!!!! Going to concur with Vire that for those of us who are premenopausal, we also may not be 100% regular, although I do still appreciate the algorithm if it gives me an approximate estimate since I always forget to track or pay attention.

Hi,
I have been waiting for this feature for so long and I tried to use it today. I am a big fan of all Structured features and I have been using the application for quite some time now but I have to say I am quite disappointed by the “Cycle Season” feature.
First of all, your assumption is that every woman’s body work the same so all period cycles follow the same path. Well… let’s agree to disagree on this one. I have been on my period for 26 years now and I always had irregular cycles (between 30 and 45 days). The only time I was regular is when I was on birth control. For personal reasons, I decided not to take this pill anymore (not for pregnancy though). This is how my body works, I am not ill, it has just always been this way, for me at least.
Second, since I never know in advance when the “bloody hell” is starting, I have been using the iPhone Health app mostly to have insights regarding: the length of my cycles, my symptoms (cramps, headache…). I know my ovulation days are starting because I feel my body “working”. I only used Structured as a reminder to go update the Health app.
So, when I discovered the integration between Structured and Health, can you imagine how happy I was? But the joy did not last too long… I am not able to use the Cycle Seasons feature because of “Irregular Data Detected”.
Yes, I know my body does not work the same way other women’ and I’m ok with that. I guess, it is what it is… But the “Irregular Data Detected” message has been like a slap on my face: because my body does not work like others, I AM OUT? I don’t even know why these singular words affect me that much but again, it is what it is.
So, from my point of view, based of my needs as an individual, based on my body characteristics as a woman, I don’t think this new feature is really inclusive. As is, it seems more dedicated to those with a pretty much standard cycle season.

Hey Vire,
Thank you for being open and sharing your feedback and thoughts. 😊
We are sorry to hear Cycle Seasons doesn’t meet your expectations yet.

I'm so excited to start using this feature every day! It would be amazing if I could set my energy monitor to change capacity based on my cycle faze.

The Clue App is a god send. I would love it if Structured took inspiration from the type of logging seen by that app. As well as an option to turn on or off the menstruation mode, and possibly venture into predicting cycles and keeping track of certain types of birth control. One thing I notice is that certain hormonal phases of the cycle aren’t mentioned in the clue app such as Luteal phase etc. It would be nice to analyze and possibly relate certain habits to the phases in a cycle. It would also be majorly impactful if there was a percentage of how effective a type of birth control was depending on how accurately it is being used. (ex. if you miss a day on a certain week that could lower your protection against pregnancy. This would help women greatly to determine safer practices)

Would be nice to have simple icons that mean different things for tracking across the month ie. insomnia. irritability, bloating. headache, cramps, rage, crying. period start/end, suspected ovulation etc.
