Long-press gestures on items to get a menu of useful quick actions

Title. Long-press gestures (and the late Force Touch of past iPhones) can be so useful to quickly make an action on one (or multiple selected) item(s).

I don’t think it makes a lot of sense to have to open an item, look for the three dots menu, tap delete, confirm that I am sure to delete this task / confirm that I want to delete a repeating task via one of the three different types of actions (this task only, future tasks only, all tasks). I just want to delete an item or move it back to the inbox quickly and as easily as possible 🥺

For reference, I’ve attached a screen recording to my post. No worries privacy wise, there are no sensible informations visible onscreen.

By the way, while making this screen recording, I didn’t realise that the « + » button down right turned to a trash icon after long pressing and moving an item around. Sure, this could be a way to do it. But if it’s hidden below my thumb… I wouldn’t be surprised if most (right handed) people would miss it. And this doesn’t change the point of long-press actions.

Long-pressing gesture on an item is such a useful iOS UX tool that I’m surprised it hasn’t been (or used to be?) implemented yet in Structured. Especially since it is already implemented to reorder timeline or inbox items.

So, yeah. I’ve read some complaints about the lack of this. And I totally get them. It’s par my of the basic iOS UI/UX ecosystem. It can help with accessibility. Makes things more efficient for everyone. So I do hope that my feedback will be considered.
