You all merged this with a previous post about auto scheduling tasks. But it seems to be a separate request. If I go add something to my inbox, I want AI or an algorithm to automatically place it on my calendar and if I skip it, I wanted to reschedule it for me.

Would love to see this more smartly schedule the tasks vs. trying to block them all in a row - would also love to see it recognize meetings and gap times or ask how long something may take, or at least let me enter it and then suggest a time to do it. the more time I have to spend re-arranging tasks the less motivated I end up being to use the app but more importantly to do the tasks. as an ADHDer I use and abuse structured for my daily personal and work life.

I don't think this needs to be an AI assistant if it makes it simpler. It would be ok to just match tasks and schedule gaps

Please also add a small indicator on the inbox icon showing the no. of tasks. Like the notifications indicator on iOS apps.
Because right now, there's no way to tell if there's something there in the inbox from the home screen. Kinda against the app's purpose; inbox is currently out of mind, out of sight.

while working on the AI, please also let us pick a task from the inbox when clicking the add task button in available time in the structured day view.

And taking into account deadlines (if we could add these to inbox tasks)

but wouldnt this result in the need to post all current tasks to openai? (to check if its possible to place it there)

You don't need to use OpenAI for this. Calendly has an automatic scheduling feature as well.
