Countdowns - Days, Weeks or Years

We do get an event notification but what if an icon showing the number of days left until that event from today so that it is helpful for planning or prioritising? For example, I have a deadline coming up in about 2 weeks but I may forget about it altogether unless I set up the reminder a day before which I might even miss along with all other reminders but a small icon on the app screen with the countdown will act like a constant reminder to not miss it. It can be set up for anything like birthdays, anniversaries, etc.
