Auto-move tasks when overlapping
Say I have a 1-hr task at 3pm and a 1-hr task at 4pm. If I drag the 4pm task up above the 3pm task, I would like it to automatically push the 3pm task down to 4pm.
Maybe if you drag toward the left side of the screen it will create an overlap, and if you drag toward the right side it will do a push. Something like that.
Another, maybe simpler, way to solve this could be to make the "Overlapping" text a link - click it and it will give you the option to "push task(s) down to remove overlap".
For me this is essential because I'm trying to block out my whole day. If I do the whole day then realize I need to insert something in the morning, I then have to carefully change the time of every task coming after. Found myself doing this over and over which made the app unusable for me.
Also if I changed my 3pm task to start at 3:15, it would be nice to then get a popup like - "This task now overlaps with the next one. Would you like to push that task later?"

I am so surprised this request is not being backed more.
This is the only thing i get frustrated with on this app. It slows down by progress with things change or slightly go overtime. I find myself then rushing tasks or having to sit and edit them.
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE make this a feature!

Or even if you could have a task split into two if a meeting is scheduled right in the middle of your task. Maybe there could be a pop up asking if you would like to shrink or split the task? Or if you want to move the task to a different time?

🤩 This is my dream feature!!! It's so tedious to make a schedule the way it's currently configured.
It's much easier to
1) add all the tasks I want to do today, THEN
2) put them in the best order
Right now, Structured makes you
1) think of all the tasks, hold them in your head, THEN
2) enter them in in the correct order
or
1) put in all the tasks at random times
2) painstakingly readjust them, making sure they don't overlap, which is difficult with the current UI (giant pill events with no clear grid)

this feature is really essential for my workflow and I hope it can be implemented soon. I block out my entire day in Structured, but whenever I need to insert or move something earlier, I end up spending a lot of time manually pushing all subsequent tasks forward. It gets tedious and breaks flow.
I would love to see tasks automatically pushed down when they overlap. This would save so much time and make the app even more powerful.

I posted something similar only to find this. Definitely would use this daily. It gets frustrating trying to drag the task and it doesn’t just pop up to the open spot. Or swap tasks. Even a button that allows you to move a task up or down in your day would be phenomenal.

Yup, that would make Structured an even stronger alternative compared to other similar apps. An auto-move that behaves in a Final Cut Pro X way would be both 100% useful and fit the upcoming iOS 26 redesign (smooth as… glass everywhere) :)
