I understand this is largely a cosmetic feature; however, it would be great if once users said no to giving OpenAi their data, the large “AI” sign/tab would go away (either automatically with a prompt explaining the person could change their mind at any time by going into settings, or the same prompt but they manually switch it off to stop seeing the “AI” sign).
While there are plenty of users who enjoy Structured AI (power to them), from looking at the lack of response when you announced it to the minimal upvotes on anything to do with updating the AI in comparison to other topics, it seems like the majority of people are either neutral or uninterested in it. As such, I think it would be nice if it were not forced on us. (Before this update, you accessed Structured AI via a simple symbol like everything else in the app. If you weren’t interested, the symbol blended nicely with the overall design and could feel like a cute and unobtrusive decorative piece. But now the “AI” sign/tab is a constant unignorable presence, which on phones feels like you’re getting tricked into clicking). Using Structured AI requires such a notable breach of individual privacy, making it an unavoidable part of the app when it’s unnecessary feels wrong.
I hope I don’t come across as rude or entitled in any way (I have adored your app up to this point!). I’m just getting frustrated with all the big companies pointlessly shoving AI into everything and then constantly pushing it within their products even after users say they are not interested. It would be amazing if you stood in contrast to them and allowed users to stand by their choice on whether or not to use AI.
