Just to say I really hate it lol. It used to show things in order starting with all-day tasks, so I have a system where I mark days as “Busy IRL” “Busy URL” or “No Obligations” as different coloured all-day tasks, meaning I can see at a glance week by week which days I am busy. This helped me make new social and work plans more easily. I can’t any more because the icons don’t show this way; they shunt all-day ones out of the way and focus on the middle of the day if there are many tasks. I don’t see how this helps anyone as it seems arbitrary and it removes the functionality I had (I have to do seven times as much work, selecting each day individually to check). Please at least make it optional to display all-day mini icons first.
