Suppose I have a repeating reminder in iOS, e.g. a manual weekly backup task. This reminder has no time attached, only the day. On every day it is due, I want to decide what is the right time to do it. If I use Structured to assign a time to the reminder/task (e.g. by drag-and-drop it from the top to a specific time in the daily planner), I have the option to choose whether this operation is synced with the iOS reminder:
If I choose yes, the repeating reminder will have this specific chosen time assigned, also for its occurrence in the next weeks. This is not what I want, on every occurrence I want to choose a new individual time.
If I choose no, the the task is decoupled from the reminder, which is also bad because then I have to mark both as done (in Structured and in the iOS reminder app) if I did the task.
To solve it, one can compare how it is done in the iOS reminder app when swiping right on a reminder in the daily reminder list. There you have the options "Tomorrow", "This weekend" and "Date & Time". If you click on "Date & Time" and set a time for a repeating reminder, it will do what Structured does by setting the time for all occurrences. But if you click on either "Tomorrow" or "This weekend", you are asked if only this daily instance of the reminder should be manipulated, not the repeating occurrences in the future. I think this should be the default behavior for Structured, too.
For me personally, I use a lot of iOS reminders for repeating tasks. Because of this problem, Structured is not really usable to plan all those tasks. Would love to have this solved. Thanks for reading!
